Website & Enquiry Privacy Notice

Who is responsible

Duncan McGillivray, trading as Bigger Contract Services (BCS), is responsible for the personal information covered by this notice. Contact hello@biggercontractservices.co.uk.

This notice covers this information website and initial enquiries. The website does not accept orders, payments, customer onboarding or evidence uploads. Please send only the information needed for your initial enquiry; do not send client files, workforce records or sensitive personal information.

Information we use and why

If you email BCS, we receive the name, email address, business/contact details and enquiry information you choose to provide. We use these to respond, discuss your needs and keep a proportionate correspondence record. You choose whether to contact us; without enough contact information we may be unable to reply.

For ordinary business enquiries, our lawful basis is legitimate interests in responding to relevant enquiries and administering business correspondence. Where you are the prospective individual customer and ask us to take steps towards a contract, we rely on those requested pre-contract steps instead.

Wix hosts this website and processes technical information such as IP address, browser/device details, requests and security logs to deliver and protect it. Our basis for necessary website delivery and security is legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure information website. We do not make decisions about individuals with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.

Cookies

The site is configured with optional functional, analytics, advertising and third-party data consent disabled. BCS has not connected marketing pixels or external analytics. Wix uses cookies and similar technologies for core site operation, security and reliability.

Wix describes its platform cookies, purposes and durations at https://support.wix.com/en/article/cookies-and-your-wix-site. These vary from session cookies to persistent cookies; the published platform table includes durations of up to 12 months.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may affect site operation. Any future non-essential tracking will need an appropriate privacy and consent treatment before activation.

Providers, disclosure and overseas processing

Wix supplies website hosting/platform services. Microsoft supplies our business email and storage services. Their authorised service providers may also process information to deliver these services. We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed where necessary to meet a legal obligation or handle a complaint or legal claim.

These providers operate internationally and information may be processed outside the UK. Applicable arrangements use UK adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards where required. Ask BCS for details or a copy of the relevant safeguards. Wix publishes its processing terms at https://www.wix.com/about/privacy-dpa-users.

Retention

Initial enquiries that do not become engagements are normally kept for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact. Complaints, rights requests and disputes are normally kept for up to six years after closure, longer only where genuinely necessary for a live matter or legal reason.

Technical records are kept according to their operational/security purpose and the provider's applicable retention arrangements. Deleted working records may remain temporarily in provider backups or recovery systems before expiry.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information. You may object to our use based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where consent is used, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use.

Contact hello@biggercontractservices.co.uk to exercise a right or raise a privacy complaint. Rights are subject to legal conditions; BCS normally responds to rights requests within one month, subject to lawful extensions or pauses.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. This notice will be reviewed when the website or its processing changes.
